The Nigerian music industry have over the years, experienced a shift from what it used to be in the 80s and 90s, following how the likes of Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and Simi, were able to not only create a platform for female singers, but also raised the standard for them in the music industry.
Nigerian veteran singers, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade and Simi, are notable and popular singers who ensured that their presence were felt in the Nigerian music industry through their unique songs.
Despite the failure of the Nigerian music industry to recognize the contributions of most female artistes in the industry, these three unique talents never gave up, but tried their possible best to ensure that Nigerians noticed the presence of female artistes in the industry.
However, the female artistes in the industry will have to do more than they are currently doing, following how these singers took the standards of their music to a much more higher level by going out for shows and tours outside the country.
However, with the achievements of these female artistes, I believe that the upcoming female singers in the industry will want to not only climb to such height, but also have dreams of achieving more than they have done, including been nominated and receiving grammy awards in the future.
